Choreo Corner: “The Core of Choreography”

Today Kate provided a third guest blog post for EverythingFigureSkating.com, this one called “The Core of Choreography,” the last in a three-part guest series she has done for its “Pro’s Corner” area. Her posts, of course, are called “Choreo Corner!”

An excerpt from her final blog post:

… as skaters develop their off-ice core strength, their on-ice progress markedly increases and they gain improved control in fundamental skating skills such as crossovers and stroking. This is because the central power of each push and extension comes from their more stable centers, instead of their wobbly limbs.
