Again this year Kate helped coach and served as choreographer for “Act 1,” the Skating Club of Boston’s Senior-level National Champion Theatre on Ice (TOI) team. After competing at the Nation’s Cup outside Paris earlier this spring, they competed again at the 2015 U.S. Nationals TOI event in Hyannis, Massachusetts in mid-June.
The Act 1 team received 1st place at Nationals for their CE (choreographic element short program), to “Any Other World” by Mika.
They then received 2nd place for their free skate, entitled “Resurrection” with musical selections from Cirque de Soleil, and finished second place at Nationals overall.
Act 1 received 2nd place in 2012, 4th place in 2013, and 1st place in 2014.
